Meet the Panel:

Katie Grahmann serves as Chief Financial Officer for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. A native Houstonian, Katie holds a BBA in Accounting and an MS in Finance from Texas A&M University and is a licensed CPA in the state of Texas.

After investing seven years with PwC’s audit practice, Katie credits public accounting with giving her a passion for using numbers to make a difference and also introducing her to her husband, Scott. Seeking a more direct connection between her skills and the world around her, Katie signed on as controller for the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council in 2012. While learning to account for cookie sales and inventory badges, Katie spent her newfound free time serving the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo as a volunteer. She later joined the Rodeo’s fulltime staff in 2014 and was promoted to her current role in 2021.

For almost two decades Katie has volunteered in the community with the Junior League of Houston. Eventually realizing the synthesis between her professional world and volunteer work, Katie stepped into financial roles within the League, serving as Community Treasurer and then Financial Vice President. Katie served for three years as a board member of Arms Wide Adoption Services and as is a founding board member of Impact100 Houston, now in its third year. Most recently, Katie has joined the boards of the Houston Botanic Garden and the Better Business Bureau of Greater Houston. Each summer, Katie works as a Corporate Fellow with University of Houston-Downtown’s Marilyn Davies College of Business. In her free time, Katie enjoys bike rides with her Dad, pretending she can cook, and practicing to be an old married couple with Scott.

Marilan Logan is in her 23rd year with the Houston Texans and serves as the franchise’s Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer, managing all aspects of financial matters and payroll services for the Texans, Houston Texans Foundation, and Lone Star Sports & Entertainment organizations.

Logan came to the Texans after serving as Controller and Treasurer for the Houston Aeros Hockey Club, Aerodromes Ice Rinks and the Houston Aeros Foundation for two seasons.

Prior to joining the Houston Aeros, Logan was the Controller for the Houston Oilers (now Tennessee Titans) from 1978-97.  Her responsibilities included accounting for player contracts, maintaining the club’s financial records, managing payroll/benefit services and aiding club management with special projects.  Prior to the Oilers, she was a cost accounting specialist for Reed Tool Company.

Having spent 40+ years within the professional sports world, Logan is considered a seasoned veteran.  She has been highlighted in Forbes as one of the NFL’s female financial scorekeepers and by the Houston Chronicle as a woman holding a key position in Houston sports.  Recently, she was named one of Houston’s Top 25 CFOs by Finance & Investing.

Logan attended the University of Houston and currently resides in Houston with her husband, Rick.
