Vivian L. Mora is a corporate director, executive advisor, and business leader who has built on more than 30 years of executive leadership to launch the next chapter of her career: advising boards and CEOs and serving in the boardroom. As Founder and Managing Partner of Strata Advisory Group, she partners with boards of directors, CEOs, and executive leadership teams on organizational strategy, human capital, executive compensation, CEO and executive succession, culture, leadership effectiveness, and organizational performance. Her work is grounded in the belief that organizations achieve their greatest success when business strategy and people strategy are intentionally aligned.
Vivian founded Strata Advisory Group following a distinguished corporate career as a senior executive across professional sports, real estate/homebuilding, manufacturing & logistics, and energy. Most recently, she served as Chief People Officer for Camillo Companies, where she was a trusted strategic advisor to the Board of Directors and executive leadership team for a diversified portfolio of real estate, homebuilding, and investment businesses. There she led enterprise-wide initiatives spanning organizational transformation, executive leadership, succession planning, total rewards, talent strategy, employee engagement, culture, and leadership development while helping position the organization for long-term growth.
Earlier in her career, Vivian served as Vice President of Human Resources for the Houston Astros organization, overseeing human resources across the Major League Baseball club, its Minor League affiliates, Spring Training operations, and associated venues. She also founded Mora & Associates, a human resources consulting firm, and held executive HR leadership roles with the Houston Rockets and Toyota Center, H-E-B, Constellation Energy, and Entergy Corporation. Throughout these roles she partnered closely with owners and executive leadership teams on enterprise risk, governance, executive compensation, organizational design, mergers and acquisitions integration, executive coaching, culture transformation, and workforce strategy.
Vivian's governance experience includes service on both corporate and nonprofit boards. In addition to her service on the Board of Directors of WISE Houston, she serves on the boards of The BluePrint Toolset and Family Houston, contributing to strategic planning, CEO partnership, committee leadership, governance, organizational oversight, and mission-driven leadership. She is actively expanding her corporate board service, where she brings expertise in governance, human capital, executive leadership, compensation, organizational transformation, and risk oversight.
A respected thought leader and speaker, Vivian frequently shares insights on governance, leadership, organizational culture, the future of work, executive effectiveness, and creating organizations where people and performance thrive together. She is a former member of The Equity at Work Council and has been recognized as one of Houston Woman Magazine's 50 Most Influential Women of the Year.
